Ecuador envió más ayuda humanitaria a Venezuela y Colombia

El gobierno de Ecuador despachó hoy desde Quito hacia Caracas (Venezuela) un avión con ayuda humanitaria, mientras que esta tarde otra aeronave saldrá con rumbo a Colombia para el mismo propósito, según detalló un portavoz de la presidencia.Estos dos cargamentos forman parte de la entrega de ayuda humanitaria que Ecuador se comprometió a realizar para los damnificados de las fuertes lluvias que azotan a ambos países.
En Colombia el fuerte temporal ha costado la vida de 241 personas y ha dejado 243 más heridas y 1,89 millones de damnificados, mientras que en Venezuela hay una treintena de muertos y más de 120.000 afectados, informaron los gobiernos de respectivos países.
La ayuda humanitaria a Caracas, de la cual no detalló la cantidad que partió hoy, se suma a la ya entregada por Quito la semana pasada, cuando el miércoles un avión partió desde la capital ecuatoriana hacia la venezolana con 200 colchones, 11 tanques de agua de 2.000 litros, 400 cobijas y 10 carpas, cada una de ellas con capacidad para ocho personas.
En el caso de Colombia, el cargamento enviado hoy es parte del contingente de 2.000 raciones de alimentos que el gobierno ecuatoriano se comprometió el pasado viernes a enviar a Bogotá.
Además, el presidente de Ecuador, Rafael Correa, visitará el martes Venezuela y el miércoles Colombia, confirmó el portavoz de presidencia.
Correa encabezará una delegación de su país que visitará las naciones vecinas "como muestra de amistad y solidaridad para coordinar acciones que ayuden a mitigar el impacto de los desastres naturales ocurridos en esos países hermanos", indicó recientemente la Cancillería ecuatoriana en un comunicado. I think that is great that Ecuador is doing this. I beleive that other than the fact that it is humanitarian help that is really needed right now, it is important that second world developing countries are united and help each other. Because, some more or some less, but they all need more help to go over catastrophes like this. Also, I think that as cruel as it may soud but these disasters actually help the fraternity and unity between nations, which is great, because it shows that people still care about others it clarifies that in the world in which we live, that is only concerned about economy and buisness there are still some moral values as solidarity that are stronger and go beyond political and economic relationships.

And I share your vision, that hardships make people get together, but in some cases, it also brings the bad face of things, a clear example where the plundering of things at the Chilean earthquake or in the 30-S. Nevertheless, I think it is great that Ecuador helps, even though in some cases,it comes out of interest that some people have.

ResponderEliminarI totally agree with you. Sending this humanitarian aid to those countries will not only help them in what they are now needing, but will also narrow the relations between our country and them.
I think that it's very important to maintain good relations with other countries, mainly if they are neighboring counties or belong to the same region, because having a good political relation will be the base of having a good economical relation, which will help in the development in a nation. Also, as most of the countries of latin america are countries in ways of development, we need to be united and to create a strong region for reaching progress.
Who wouldn't agree? Its like agreeing that saving puppies is good. Just kidding. But yes, keep in mind that an action (whether good or bad) or an omision represent a posture, a political one. It is certainly good that Ecuador is sending help to Colombia. That shows, also, a posture. A willingness to reestablish dialogue. Maybe sending and embassador. Maybe asking daddy... jeje..
